Route Consultation

Our outfitters have over 100 years of combined canoe tripping experience and are long-time Temagami residents. You get the benefit of our personal experience and local knowledge – needless to say, our knowledge base goes far beyond the guidebooks that everybody uses! We take pride in designing a canoe route that’s best for you, mindful of your desires, abilities, and timeframe.

Vehicle Shuttles

Most of the vehicle access to Temagami’s backcountry is via logging roads. These roads can be confusing and rough on your vehicle. If that doesn’t sound like much fun, let us do the driving with our convenient and worry-free shuttle service. We service all of Temagami’s access points, some of them little known. Secure parking for your vehicle is available free of charge at Smoothwater. Contact us for shuttle rates.

Park Permits

All visitors to Temagami are required to purchase a permit if they intend on camping overnight within any of Temagami’s provincial parks. There is NO reservation system for campsites, which are available on a first-come basis only. Permits can be purchased at our lodge.

Maps

We love pouring over maps with you! We stock a complete inventory of Temagami canoe route maps and topographic maps. We also have an extensive map library on a wide range of Ontario and Quebec rivers. We’re especially proud to stock the Temagami Adventure Planning Map, carefully researched and produced by local conservation organization Friends of Temagami.
