Commitment: 40 hrs/week
Pay: $18/hr, includes room & board (equivalent to $23/hr)
Duration: June 23 - Sept 5, 2023 

Tasks include: 

- Dust furniture 
- Vacuum and mop floors 
- Remove dirty linens 
- Make beds 
- Clean bathrooms 
- Distribute clean towels and toiletries 
- Stock linen closets and other supply areas 
- Clean and disinfect public areas 
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers 
- Answer guest questions/direct them to appropriate staff person  

Required skills:

- Attention to detail 
- Organizational skills 
- Efficient time management 
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness 
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team 
- Good interpersonal & customer service skills 
- Prior experience strongly preferred

Work environment

Our guesthouse has five private, ensuite rooms with a total of 10 beds between them, as well as two dorms with adjoining washrooms. The Gathering Hall and the Dining Lodge round out the rest of the spaces. The guesthouse accounts for most of the daily cleaning; it’s surrounded by trees with a wildflower garden on one side and the lake on the other, with a wraparound deck that makes it convenient to get from room to room. We pride ourselves on our housekeeping - it takes a combination of skill and attitude that is noticed and appreciated by guests and staff alike!
